Today, Instagram is rolling out a feature that lets you restrict your time on non-close friends. It follows that only the messages, direct messages, story responses, tags, and mentions from users you've added to your list of close friends will be visible to you.

Although their messages and comments won't be visible to you or others, other followers can still interact with your postings. Although this function targets teenagers, anyone can reduce encounters with irritating people.

You'll be prompted to turn it off after a predetermined period once you've turned it on. Additionally, you can restrict interactions to accounts that are either your non-followers or recent followers.

You can also restrict some accounts (without blocking them) so they cannot see your online times or the times you have seen their messages. Moreover, their communications will be redirected to message requests rather than appear in your DM inbox. Their fresh comments on your postings will remain private between you and them, and they will see a notice stating that not everyone is allowed to tag or mention you when they attempt to do so.
