The Redmi Pad Pro, featuring a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 CPU, was unveiled by Xiaomi in April. Although there is a 5G modem in the chipset, the original model did not have cellular connectivity. A new version of the tablet with dual SIM compatibility and 5G capability is being released today.
The Redmi Pad Pro, which is based on a 12.1" IPS LCD with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, is identical to its Wi-Fi-only sibling interior and out. Its top is protected by Gorilla Glass 3, and its maximum brightness is 600 nits.
The 8 MP camera and the LED flash are located in separate large rings on the back. There is also an 8 MP front-facing camera for video calls.
The Xiaomi Redmi Pad Pro comes pre-installed with HyperOS, an Android 14-based operating system. The slate boasts four speakers, two microphones, a microSD card, and a massive 10,000 mAh battery that can sustain up to 33W rapid charging.
The 6/128 GB model of the Redmi Pad Pro 5G costs ($275/€255), while the 8/256 GB model costs ($330/€305). The Xiaomi CEO assured that when the tablet goes worldwide, additional colors will be available. The Dark Grey model is now on sale in China.
