Since Apple has never made the exact amount of RAM in their iPhones public, we normally have to wait for teardowns to find out. Perhaps we won't need to this time. According to a recent rumor from MacRumors and iSWUpdates, the four iPhone 16 variants unveiled yesterday all have 8GB of RAM.
Accordingly, the RAM of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus is 2GB larger than that of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, but the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max retain the same amount as its predecessors.
This likely explains why, when the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus arrive in October, the former will receive the Apple Intelligence feature set while the latter won't.
On Friday, September 13, the iPhone 16 family will go on pre-order, and on Friday, September 20, it will go on sale.
