Tecno unveiled the Camon 30S Pro in silence. The first smartphone from Tecno featuring wireless charging is the newest member of the Camon 30 series.
Tecno fitted the Camon 30S Pro with a brand-new Mediatek Helio G100 processor. All we know about the platform is that it is a 6nm platform with 7% greater CPU performance, but there are still a lot of unknowns.
Although Tecno refers to the chip's downlink data speed of 300 Mbits as 4.5G due to its CA 2.0 (Carrier-Aggregate) technology, it is important to note that this chip does not support 5G. The phone has 256 GB of storage and 8 GB of RAM which is essentially expandable to 16 GB.
The 6.78" AMOLED screen of the Camon 30S Pro features a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and Full HD+ resolution. Within a punch hole is a 50 MP selfie camera with eye-tracking autofocus.
A 50 MP Sony IMX896 sensor with a 1/1.56" sensor size, 1um pixel size, and OIS is housed in the primary camera on the rear. A 2 MP depth sensor is positioned next to it.
A 5,000 mAh battery that enables 45W cable charging is housed inside the phone. The phone features a unique magnetic cover that makes it possible for the Tecno charging pad to clamp directly on the coil for 20W wireless charging. Additionally, the phone is compatible with standard non-magnetic chargers made by other OEMs.
Tecno offers three distinct charging modes, Hyper Charge (the quickest), Smart Charge, and Low-Temperature Charge, based on consumer desire and three distinct circumstances. Moreover, the entire Camon 30S Pro is IP53 waterproof.
The Tecno Camon 30S Pro contains an IR blaster for controlling older appliances, an FM radio, NFC, and a fingerprint scanner underneath the touchscreen. The top-level OS is HIOS on top of Android 14.
The gadget comes in three colors: gray, silver, and gold, and it has a thin 7.75 mm body. At this time, Tecno has not disclosed any information on the Camon 30S Pro's availability or price.
