The flagship Find X8 series, which includes the vanilla X8, the X8 Pro, and the X8 Ultra, is being prepared by Oppo. Today, the battery capacities of all three devices—along with those of the impending Reno13 and Reno13 Pro—have leaked in China. We may also add that all of this is good news for lifespan.
Prolific Leaker Digital Chat Station claims that the Find X8, Find X8 Pro, and Find X8 Ultra will all feature 5,600 mAh, 5,700 mAh, and 6,100–6,200 mAh batteries, respectively. For all of these, dual-cell technology will be used.
The single-cell batteries for the Reno13 and Reno13 Pro will have a capacity of 5,600 mAh and 5,900 mAh, respectively. These batteries are all made with the latest silicon technology, which can fit more capacity into the same amount of space as the older technology.
Samsung's choice to continue with 5,000 mAh for the Galaxy S25 Ultra appears even more peculiar in light of these figures. If you're wondering why Chinese smartphone manufacturers seem to be making these increases everywhere, it's because of two factors working together perfectly: first, the new silicon technology is now available, and second, for flagship devices, there is a rumored increase in the consumption of the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC.
That chipset will be used in the Find X8 Ultra, which is anticipated to go on sale in January. The other two family members, which will both include MediaTek's Dimensity 9400 SoC, will probably come sooner—in October or November. November may also see the release of the Reno13 series.
