These days, Pixel 9 phones are all over the place, but for the place they should be: under wraps. The most recent leak, which includes a rather comprehensive list of the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL's features, comes virtually every day.

As previously reported, the 9-series will defy convention and ship with the current version of Android 14 out of the box rather than the next one. Most likely, this is a consequence of delaying the debut (the Pixel 8 phones were released in November). Similar to the 8-series, the 9-series phones will get feature drops for seven years.

The Google Tensor G4 chipset combined with the Titan M2 security chip will power the Pixel 9 Pro XL, as well as the standard Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro. The Pro XL will come standard with 16GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with the option to upgrade to 1TB of storage. There will be a $1,100 basic price. The 256GB model will cost $1,200, however, it appears that pre-orders will receive a complimentary 512GB storage increase.

The 6.8" OLED display on the XL phone has a resolution of 1,344 x 2,992 pixels and a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits. It should be noted, however, that some previous leaks indicated a 6.73" diagonal and lesser brightness. Gorilla Glass Victus 2 will be utilized to safeguard the display. It will have a 42MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 lens punched into it.

Two cameras will be mounted on the back: a 48MP ultra-wide (123°, f/1.7) and a 48MP 5x periscope (f/2.8) that will complement the 50MP wide camera with an f/1.68 lens. The primary camera will have an OIS and a Samsung GNK 1/1.31" sensor, according to a prior leak. The Sony IMX585 (1/2.51") will be used in the ultra-wide module.

All three Pixel 9 variants will have these two cameras. The same IMX858 sensor plus OIS will be used in the tele module, which is unique to the Pro and Pro XL. Since Google plans to utilize this sensor for the selfie module as well (along with an AF lens), it appears to like it. Be aware that the camera configuration on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be different.

Although the battery's charging status is unknown in this leak, a prior one revealed a 5,060mAh capacity and 45W wired charging (wireless speed to be determined).

The phone will, of course, have Gemini AI-powered features. AI will be used by the Pixel Studio to produce images. Reimagine allows you to alter an object in a photo. Here's an example of how a road might become a river. There will be a weather app driven by AI that offers summary and style advice, as well as Screenshot Search, which searches your photo library for a specific screenshot in response to a natural language query.

Here are some pictures of the Pixel 9 Pro (not XL), in case you missed the previous day's new leaks of Pixel phone photographs.

On August 13, Google will formally introduce the Pixel 9 series, which includes the second-generation Fold.
