OnePlus is preparing to release a new color option for the Open, its debut foldable smartphone. According to the firm, this will be known as Crimson Shadow and will symbolize the iconic "Never Settle" hue. As you can see, the back has a texture similar to that of imitation leather.

That being said, the OnePlus Open in Crimson Shadow won't be your typical OnePlus Open. It is marketed as the OnePlus Open Apex Edition instead. That leads us to believe it will have more RAM and storage, but those are our conjectures as the firm hasn't disclosed any other information yet.

Nevertheless, we may enjoy the impending color, which is seen above by itself and below with the current OnePlus Open hues, Emerald Dusk and Voyager Black.

We're wondering if this Apex Edition of the OnePlus Open will come with more RAM than 16GB and 1TB of storage, given that the OnePlus Open is presently available worldwide with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Keep an eye out—all will become clear in only six days.
