Redmi's lineup of low-cost smartphones will soon include the Redmi 14C 5G, another addition to the lineup. The Redmi 13C 5G, its predecessor, debuted in December 2023, and judging on the entry-level smartphone industry's competitive nature, its successor can't wait to release for a full year.
The Redmi 14C 5G is undoubtedly on the way as it was detected in an IMEI database. This series is receiving a rapid refresh cycle—not "soon" as in the next few days or weeks, but much sooner than December.
This will be an extremely widespread release by the brand's norms because the Redmi 14C 5G will be offered in China, India, Japan, and other nations globally. For what it's worth, this will be the first Redmi C-series phone to be released in Japan. As the Redmi 13C 5G's replacement, it should feature higher specifications than that model, although there haven't been any leaks or speculations about it yet.
The Redmi 13C 5G, for example, has a 6.74-inch 720x1600 LCD touchscreen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a maximum brightness of 600 nits. It also has a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, 4/6/8GB of RAM, 128/256GB of expandable storage (with a dedicated microSD slot), a 50 MP primary camera, a 5 MP selfie camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18W wired charging. Naturally, things should pick up a notch with the Redmi 14C 5G. When we learn more about it, we'll let you know.
