With a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to be a major upgrade over the 14 Ultra and may arrive earlier than its predecessors.

A recent report 'confirms' this information, to the extent that any unsubstantiated rumor can. With the use of an in-sensor zoom and optical zoom, the new camera will be able to provide a 10x magnification option in the viewfinder.

We won't argue about whether Xiaomi is using the phrase "lossless" accurately or not, but it's still up for debate. We would rather just get thrilled about the quality of the close-ups that Xiaomi's next Ultra should provide.

The vivo X100 Ultra debuted a 200 MP periscope telephoto back in May, and it appears Xiaomi was impressed enough to want to adopt the same technology.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Processor from Qualcomm is expected to power the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. According to today's rumors, the primary camera will employ an improved Sony LYT-900 sensor, which will result in superior low-light performance than the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

Additionally, a 4K Cinematic video option, higher-resolution slow-motion video, and an improved selfie camera with an apparent 50 MP sensor will be available.
