The newest gadgets from the ZTE sub-brand are the Nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version and Z60S Pro. While the Z60S Pro has a slightly bigger primary camera sensor and more AI camera functions, the Z60 Ultra gets new colors and an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Additionally, Nubia's latest suite of AI services powers both smartphones.

The higher binned Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which has a primary Cortex-X4 CPU core clocked at 3.4GHz and a boosted 1GHz GPU is the main difference in the Z60 Ultra Leading Version. The Z60 Ultra will perform better at AI tasks because of Nubia's improved SoC, which can run on-device AI models with up to 10 billion parameters.

The same 6.8-inch AMOLED (FHD+ 120Hz) dominates the front, with an improved algorithm for sharper selfies and an under-display camera (UDC) for the 12MP selfie camera.

The NeoVision AI Photography System 2.0 carries the AI enhancements to the cameras. Nubia is using similar hardware as on the regular Z60 Ultra but with an upgrade on the 35mm main shooter which gets a new IMX906 sensor. The 18mm ultrawide lens gets a larger aperture and remains at 50MP resolution while the 64MP periscope (85mm) gets added AI telephoto capabilities.

Android 14 covers the software front, with Nubia's MyOS 14 coming in first. The battery still has an 80W wired charger and 6,000 mAh capacity.

The price of the Nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version, which is available in Black and Silver, is $649/€729/£649. Open sales via Nubia's official website are set to commence on August 12, with pre-orders opening today.

Nubia Z60S Pro

The Z60S Pro is the straight replacement for the Z50S Pro from the previous year. It has a bigger sensor than the main 35mm camera, but other than that, it is identical in terms of characteristics. Along with these new AI capabilities, Nubia is also introducing a 65:24 ultra-wide cinema format, a star sky algorithm, and a Magic Eraser.

The 6.8-inch AMOLED (FHD+ 120Hz) and the 8MP telephoto and 50MP ultrawide lenses are both retained. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU, which is older than the Z60S Pro, is mated to a 1TB hard drive and up to 16GB of RAM. A 5,100 mAh battery with 80W charging is also included.

The starting price of the Nubia Z60S Pro, which comes in Black, Aqua, and White, is $569/€669/£569. Open sales via Nubia's official website are set to commence on August 12, with pre-orders opening today.
