The A3 Pro was released by Oppo in China in April, and last week, a new phone bearing the same name was released in India. The firm has chosen to tease the next smartphone on Weibo as it prepares to officially launch the non-Pro A3 in China.

The photos that Oppo published below show a design that is quite similar to the Chinese Oppo A3 Pro; however, the A3 will feature a flat-screen rather than a curved one like that model.

According to machine translation, the three hues that will be available are Mountain StreamGreen, Aurora Purple, and Quiet Sea Black.

On July 2, at 14:30 local time, the Oppo A3 will be officially unveiled in China. Its 7.15mm thin, "ultra-durable" design and slightly curved frame are intended to improve the device's feel in the hand.

Although Oppo hasn't released any specifications, at least not yet, the A3 was just discovered in China Telecom's retail catalog. We thus know that it will include a 6.7-inch 1080x2412 touchscreen, a 5,000 mAh battery, an 8 MP selfie camera, a 50 MP primary camera, and a 2 MP decorative sensor next to it. Leading the charge will be Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 or Snapdragon 695, which are essentially the same chipset even according to Qualcomm.

Three combinations of RAM and storage are anticipated for the A3: 8/256GB, 12/256GB, and 12/512GB. The starting price for the phone should be CNY 2,099, or around $288 based on current exchange rates.
