Poco revealed the F6 and F6 Pro today, but the company also debuted its first tablet, which was a surprise. Naturally, it goes by the moniker Poco Pad, and it's made for both work and pleasure. But it's not a wholly original gadget. The tablet and the Redmi Pad Pro actually resemble one other quite a bit.

The Pad's 12.1" display likely accounted for the majority of the purchase price. It's a 120Hz LCD with 68 billion colors (12-bit) and 2.5K resolution. At lower brightness levels, customers can experience flicker-free DC dimming, with a peak brightness of 600 nits.

Poco claims that because this tablet is designed to be used for both work and play, it chose an aspect ratio of 16:10, which creates a pleasing compromise between the two. Regarding entertainment, there are four Dolby Atmos speakers and a display that supports Dolby Vision for better streaming video quality.

In relation to that, the tablet's 10,000mAh battery ought to provide 16 hours of continuous video streaming. Poco claims that 15 minutes of charge is sufficient for 26 hours of music playback at a 33W charging rate.

The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, which powers the Poco X6 as well, powers the Poco Pad. Although it has 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, users who have enormous digital libraries will be happy to know that the tablet can accommodate microSD cards up to 1.5TB.

Since it's a Xiaomi device, it runs HyperOS, which comes with a companion HyperOS phone that has some neat features. For instance, you can cast the screen of your phone onto the tablet. You can drag and drop text, files, and images between the tablet and phone with this capability, but you can also use the shared clipboard. The ability to quickly attach the tablet to your phone with a single tap is another cool feature.

The Poco Pad weighs 571g and has a stylish metal unibody that is 7.52mm thick. It's available in blue and gray.

For added protection while on the road, Poco has produced the Poco Pad Cover. However, if you intend to use the tablet for business, Poco also offers the Poco Pad Keyboard. Additionally, a Poco Smart Pen is included for taking notes and drawing.

The Poco Pad is currently available for $300 during the early bird period (you just need to choose your preferred color from the one variant, 8/256GB). Following the end of the launch promotion, the Pad will retail for $330. Additionally, the keyboard costs $80, the pen is $60, and the basic cover is only $20 if you want to purchase any of the attachments.
