At the yearly Unpacked event in July, the Galaxy Watch7 series is set to make its debut alongside the Galaxy foldables. However, there aren't many details available about the watches just yet. For this reason, the Watch7 Ultra, a new member of the Galaxy Watch family this year, surprises us.

A series of excellent renders showcases the new Watch7 Ultra from Samsung from every angle, teasing a few possible capabilities. The body of the gadget is shaped like a square with oval corners, while the rotating bezel and display are round. This means that the device's design is a hybrid of square and circular.

The renders also feature a third, circular button next to the standard power and back buttons. The purpose of the new button is yet unknown, though.

A bigger speaker grille, revised sensor alignment on the back, and a more seamless transition between the watch band and watch body are also visible in the photos.

Nonetheless, the display's dimensions are unaltered; it uses the same 1.5-inch diagonal and 47mm standard as the current Watch6 Classic.

We've heard rumors about the Ultra edition for a while now, but we're not sure if these reports—which mention an improved SoC, longer battery life, and blood sugar monitoring—apply to all Watch7 devices. In any case, it appears that Samsung is getting ready to take on Apple's Watch Ultra 2, and we're eager to find out why all the excitement is.
