It was first reported that Samsung's first public beta for One UI 7, which is based on Android 15, will launch this week for the Galaxy S24 series. It hasn't occurred yet, and a recent rumor suggests it won't. It has been rescheduled until the third week of August.

The One UI 6.1.1 upgrade, which is still rolling out to older foldables, tablets, and certain high-end devices, appears to be the cause of the delay. It appears like Samsung intends to concentrate on just one update at a time.

One UI 7, which includes a revamp of Samsung's layer over Android, will be a significant update. Recent leaks indicate that it will feature an updated Quick Settings panel that is set apart from the notifications, rounded corners throughout the user interface, new icons for Samsung apps, a lock screen with thicker shortcuts and battery charging status, a search bar at the bottom of the app drawer, and a new camera app that is designed to be easier to use with one hand because of where the settings and modes are located.
