As predicted back in April, Spotify is increasing its charges once more. The streaming music provider revealed today that its premium plan would now run $11.99 a month instead of $10.99 starting next month.

The family plan will now cost $19.99 per month (a $3 increase) while the Duo plan will now cost $16.99 for two users (a $2 increase). The only plan whose monthly cost of $5.99 will not change is the student plan.

Although this rise has only been announced for the US market thus far, it will surely eventually expand to at least Western markets. It's interesting to note that Spotify will now cost more in the US than Apple Music, which will continue to charge $10.99 and $16.99 for individual and family subscriptions, respectively, after this price increase.
