The Mix Flip, Xiaomi's first clamshell, was unveiled last week. We tried to find out about any plans for an international launch while at the event, but corporate representatives wouldn't talk about it in public.
We now have proof that the gadget will go outside of China. During a regional press conference, a Xiaomi country manager hinted that five regions in Central and Eastern Europe will be among the first to receive the phone, which is expected to retail for about €1,300 or $1,400.
With a 4" cover display and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU, Xiaomi debuted the Mix Flip. The inside folding panel is a 6.86" OLED that can sustain a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and has a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
The two 50 MP cameras—one serving as the primary wide shooter with PDAF and OIS and the other as a telephoto camera for portraiture with 2x optical zoom and PDAF—are encircled by the rear screen.
The Xiaomi official withheld the identity of the international variant among the three memory choices available for the Mix Flip.
After a close meeting, we discovered that the Mix Flip is lightweight and comfy to grip. Its frame lacks sharp edges and is primarily flat. The hinge has a very pleasant snap when it shuts with zero gap at 180 degrees, and it may remain at any angle between 45 and 135 degrees.
We have already received a review device, so stay tuned for the final word on if this is the foldable to look out for. This early hands-on was too short for a thorough evaluation.
